The Future City !!

An amazing conceptual design for a sky garden imagined by Tsvetan Toshkov as a solution to green spaces and unpolluted horizons in city environments. “City in the sky is a concept about an imaginary tranquil oasis above the mega-developed and polluted city, where one can escape from the everyday noise and stress.
It was developed as part of the ‘Megatropolis’ project, which started in London with few companies and artists, invited to create their own visions for the future mega-developed city. The metropolis depicted in the video is New York City because that’s where most of the production happened. While the overall ‘Megatropolis’ project didn’t reach a final stage, the presented concept grew into this architectural utopia. Although it is realistically presented, the concept doesn’t intend to be realistic in terms of structure-engineering or real living environment. It is an artistic impression of a tranquil hideaway from the rush of everyday life.
In modern life, man is rushing with the current of success and progress but somewhere deep has the desire for a quieter reality, that seems increasingly further away. “City in the Sky” reminds of the romantic connection with the heaven, tranquility and nature, even in the heart of vast metropolises like New York City.”
