Portable Bike

You rap it as fast as you can clap your hands: you fold the pedals, hide the saddle, bend the frame and handlebars and ready! The bicycle becomes a package! You can take it with you in an elevator, climb the stairs, go to the mountain, carry it in the supermarket or keep it the store room. However what Volkswagen is offering is a little bit different. This is not actually a bike at all but rather electric scooter because it has no pedals! Also, it will fold neatly and occupy the space normally taken by the spare tire in your car’s trunk. The car will charge the bike so that when you arrive at your destination you can unfold the bike and take a ride in the city.

The batteries of the are good for 12.5mph and offer a range of about 12.5 miles but remember there are no pedals so if you run out of juice you are going to be stuck! The concept is that you can drive to the city, park on the outskirts, and use the VW Bik.e (as the concept is called) to continue your journey.
